Letter to Vendors

Dear Technology Vendor,

As the conference organizer and Technology Director for Washington County School District I am pleased to invite you to participate in our second Southern Utah Education Conference.  You have been selected as a possible vendor participant because I believe the products you sale will be of extreme interest to our conference participants.

Our conference which has been titled SUECON is promising to be one of the most exciting events to happen in our region for K12 educators.  It will take place on October 26th and 27th of this year.  We anticipate that between 700 and 950 educators will participate in this one and one half day event that will be held the week after the fall break for Washington County School District.  Educators from around the state are being invited to participate.  We are planning for nearly 100 sessions that will be presented by trainers from across the state.  The conference will be held at Desert Hills High School, a new school in our District.  The venue seems perfect for this event.

The conference really is the combination of two regional conferences, the Utah Educational Library Media Association (UELMA) and the Utah Coalition of Educational Technology (UCET) along with a professional development event by Washington County School District.  The conference title for the second year is “Beyond 2012: Creating the Future” and will focus on the integration of technology into the school and classroom.

All participants will be asked to visit the exhibit hall as one of the nine sessions they attend in this two day event.  Participants will be use a stamp card to show they have visited with vendors.  The exhibit area is located in the main gym at Desert Hills High School where there will be approximately 36 10’X10’ booths available for vendors and conference sponsors.  The vendors will provide participants with first hand knowledge of technologies that could be used in their classrooms.  It is this knowledge that will encourage teachers to seek the technologies for their classroom instruction.

Please join us to make this first SUECON conference a memorable experience for participants and to ensure that the conference becomes an annual event that all teachers in the region look forward to attending every year.  The following pages outline exhibitor and sponsor information.  For any addition information please give me a call.

Thank you for your consideration,

Charlie Roberts, Technology Director
